Wednesday was the last day of withdrawal of nominations and four candidates opted out of the race.

The main fight is likely to be between Shiv Sena-BJP candidate Purushottam Bajirao Jadhav and Shrimant Chattrapati Udyanraje Pratapsinhraje Bhosle of the NCP.

The other nominees in the poll field are: Prashant Vasant Chavan (BSP), Bhausaheb Wagh (Rashtriya Samaj Party) and Alankruta Abhijit Avade-Bichukle (Independent).

Four candidates - Sadashiv Sahebrao Bagal, Shalini Nimbalkar, Shashikant Shinde and Baburao Lad - withdrew their nominations.

Meanwhile, BSP nominee Chavan has lodged a police compalint alleging NCP's Bhosle and his supporters threatended him on phone.

Police have lodged an FIR in the case and provided security to all the five candidates.
