Five killed as bus falls into gorge in MP

Five persons were today killed and 40 others injured when an Amravati-bound private bus in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge near in Betul.

The mishap occurred at Sada Prasanna Ghat near Multai, about 70 km from the district headquarters, when the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle, police said.

Betul Collector Vijay Anand Kuril and Superintendent of Police R N Prajapati rushed to the spot to supervise the rescue operation.
