Five persons were today killed and three injured when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a bus on Ropar-Chandigarh road, police said

Five persons were on Sunday killed and three injured when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a bus on Ropar-Chandigarh road, police said.

The incident occurred in the morning near Rangilpur village, about 37 km from here, they said, adding the injured had been hospitalised.

The bus was state-owned and belonged to Nawanshahr depot, they added.
