A minor hailing from Godhra in Gujarat was allegedly gang-raped in Palwal district on September 3. Police have registered a case against five accused and launched a manhunt, but none has been arrested till now.

Chandhut police on Friday received a complaint from a man, an original resident of Santrampur in Godhra district, alleging that his daughter was gang-raped by five men.

Cops said that the complainant, while explaining the sequence of the incident, said that his wife and 15-year-old daughter were on their way to their rented house near Gochi Road in the evening of September 3 when five men appeared on the scene, held his wife hostage and then took turns to rape his daughter in an open area.

“The complainant said they had gone to a priest as their daughter was not feeling well for some time,” said a police officer investigating the case, adding, “While returning from Gopikhera, a biker had given them lift till a certain point but after that they were on their way home on foot when the incident is reported to have taken place”.
