Five of dacoit gang shot

A policeman and a shepherd girl were also seriously injured in the cross firing, police sources said. Acting on a tip off, a police party surrounded the gang who opened fire at them, police said adding that in the ensuing encounter five gang members were killed.

Superintendent of Police Sajid Fareed Shapoo and other police officials left for the site on receiving information. The identity of other deceased dacoits was yet to be ascertained.
