"The incident marks a stepped up movement of neighbouring fishing craft in the area. The BSF has also stepped up its vigil," the official said.

This is the third incident in the last four days of Pakistani fishing boats being caught prowling in Indian waters. Three boats were seized within a week.

In November last year, 20 people were arrested after they were found fishing in Indian waters off Jhakhau on the Kutch coast of Gujarat. The poaching craft were intercepted by the Coast Guard patrol vessel ICGS Tarabai.
