Five women were killed today and seven others injured when a truck collided with the autorickshaw in which they were travelling on the Dhule-Kusumba road in Dhule district of northern Maharashtra, police said.

The accident occurred when the truck, on its way to Dhule, hit the autorickshaw laden with 12 passengers which was going to Kusumba, police told PTI.
The injured have been admitted to Dhule civil hospital and the condition of two of them is serious, they said.
The deceased were identified as Shobha Patil (35), Sunanda Shinde (35), Meerabai Shinde (60), Motyabai Patil (38) and Devabai Patil (39), a hospital official said.
