Presiding over the annual function of Pinegrove School at Subathu, he said in the present scenario of growing competition, students must focus on hard work and dedication that always helped in shaping the career.

The day's activities were marked by sports and colourful cultural programmes. Apart from the ensemble of Indian and western music, the main attraction of the cultural programme was Hindi play “Neelami” that showcased the importance of communal harmony in society.

The annual report, highlighting the achievements of the school in the past year, was also presented by the students. The rich display of colour, music and light accompanied by budding talent had the audience breaking into loud applause very often. The children also showcased a dance by 17 girls exhibiting the five elements of earth.

Students from Class 10 were also awarded medals for proficiency in academics for their stupendous performance in the CBSE board exams. Deepanshu Singla was awarded a diamond star for his impeccable behaviour, which is a special USP of the school.

Oak House lifted the trophy for both proficiency in academics and also became the champion house for 2013. Chief guest Maj Gen (Dr) Sunil Chandra appreciated the untiring efforts put in by the management to raise the standard of the school to this level. He also complimented the students for their stupendous cultural performance.
