THE JAWANS of the 35th Battalion PAC ‘H’ Company offered some food for thought for those who always thought the force was only about ‘danga and danda.’

In line with DG PAC Bua Singh’s directive to showcase the creativity of the PAC jawans in the New Year, the 35th Battalion ‘H’ company participated in a poetic symposium titled ‘Sangeenon ke saaye mein’ at Police Lines, Rae Bareli on Tuesday.

The poetic symposium organised under the direction of DIG PAC Subhash Chandra saw PAC jawans rendering their poems much to the delight of their colleagues, seniors and other eminent people of the region. The poems ranged from the patriotic, romantic, spiritual and humourous.

Coming in for special praise were cops Ajay Kumar Dikshit ‘Ujala’, Ashok Kumar Pandey ‘Anhad’, Dinesh Kumar Mishra ‘Snehi Sultanpuri’, Durga Shankar Verma ‘Durgesh’, Anand Singh ‘Anand’ etc. Rajiv Dixit, staff officer to DG PAC, who specially arrived for watching the PAC jawans showcase their talent, appreciated them for their “wonderful show.” Company commander, Sudhir Sharma, convenor of the programme, said such things helped to create a better impression about the force, which had several achievements to its credit.

Top cops congratulated Sharma for organising the show. Premlata Singh, principal of Vedic Kanya Inter College, Rae Bareli, also recited her poems on the occasion.
