Forces, terrorists locked in J&K gunbattle

According to officials, the exchange of fire is currently going on but there are no reports of any casualties.

Security forces and terrorists were locked in a gunbattle in Shalimar area of Srinagar on Friday, officials said in Srinagar.

The encounter broke out after security forces laid a cordon around Banigam locality in Shalimar area of Srinagar, they said.

The exchange of fire between the forces and terrorists, believed to be two in number, was going on, they said adding there were no reports of any casualty so far.
