At least 45 persons were injured when the bus in which they were travelling skidded off the road near Maneswar, about 10 km from orissa on saturday.

After the mishap, fear-stricken passengers managed to alight from the Rourkela-bound private bus which had tilted dangerously by the side of the road, the police said.

Most of the occupants received minor injuries under the impact of the accident which occurred in the small hours.
The injured were given first aid and none was hospitalised.
