Dr CNA Parimalam, foster son of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister CN Annadurai, allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well in his residence in Chennai on Tuesday.

He was 67 and is survived by two sons and a daughter. His wife had passed away in 2006.

According to police, Parimalam had been suffering from a heart ailment and had been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai 10 days back. He was discharged on Monday.
Parimalam was reportedly depressed over his ailment and took the extreme step to avoid being a burden on his children, police said.
A doctor by profession, he had worked with the Government General Hospital in Chennai.
