“FONOCOM IS all about bringing the latest computer and office technology to the common public and fostering IT trade. Every year this exhibition brings a new technical surprise for the people.”
Madhya Pradesh Telecom and Computer Traders Association (MPTCTA) president Dharmendra Jain said this while addressing a press conference in the City today. Jain officially announced that Fonocom 2006 would be held in Abhay Prashal from February 10 to 13.
Jain informed that Logitech (IT company) would sponsor the exhibition. The company would construct an Internet gaming and virtual zone in the exhibition. Jain said that each laptop bought from here would get automatically connected to Internet.
The Association is also trying to come up with a new product-launching zone this year. This is the 12th year of Fonocom. Logitech regional director (Madhya Pradesh region) Susheel Boriwal said that the company would try to provide live gaming and virtual experience to the visitors. He mentioned that there would be some surprise items for the people in the exhibition.
The major participants this year would be LG, Sahara, Acer, APC, Philips, Zenith, IBM, RICCO and AMD. MPTCTA expects around six-lakh footfall in the exhibition this year. Educational institutions and corporate sector of Indore have specially been invited to the exhibition.

Fonocom 2006 timings would be from 11.00 am to 9.30 pm on all the four days. MPTCTA secretary Younis Patel proposed the vote of thanks.
