Four militants were killed by security forces in separate encounters in Manipur, official sources said on Sunday.
A militant was shot dead by a combined team of police and Assam Rifles during encounter at Umathel area in Manipur's Thoubal district on Saturday.
Following it one 9mm pistol and a magazine loaded with three live rounds was recovered from the spot, the sources said.
In another encounter between police and Assam Rifles and armed militants near Hayel Labuk in Manipur's Thoubal district yesterday one militant was killed, while another managed to escape.
Later one 9 mm pistol and a magazine loaded with two live rounds from the spot, the sources said.
Yet another two militants were killed in an enocunter with the police at Khurkhul area in Manipur's Imphal West district yesterday. Police team recovered one 9mm pistol along with a magazine with three live rounds and one .32 pistol with two live rounds from the person of the deceased, the sources added.
