Four Naxalites killed in encounter in Gadchiroli

Four Naxalites were killed during an encounter between Naxalites and police in Kurkheda Desaiganj area in Gadchiroli district on Saturday, police said.

Two policemen were also injured in the firing, they said.

A group of armed Naxalites opened firing on a police patrol party in Pomke Gasbatti area in Kurkheda Desaiganj in the wee hours today, to which police retaliated, they said.

Four bodies of Naxals have been recovered, police said adding that the two cops who sustained injuries are out of danger.
