Four pilgrims killed, five injured in road accident

Four pilgrims, including a woman, were killed and five others seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a stationery truck on the Dehradun-Haridwar national highway.

Police said a Rajasthan-based family from Sikar district was on its way to Haridwar when the incident took place near Jaroda village here.

The five injured persons were rushed to a hospital where the condition of some of them is said to be critical, they said.
