The Delhi University’s fourth cut-off list kept only few options open.
The only humanities courses for which admissions will still go on are BA (Programme) and Sanskrit honours. Similarly, few options remain for those looking for admissions to science courses. Sri Venkateswara College still has seats in honours courses in chemistry, zoology, statistics and biological sciences.Nearly 10 colleges are still offering seats in economics and BCom (Hons), possibly the only
feature of the list that could comfort aspirants.
Commerce
The fourth list could kindle hope in high-scoring applicants who were disappointed by the previous lists.
Hans Raj College with cut-offs ranging from 95.25%-96.25%, Hindu College from 94.25%-97.75%, Miranda House from 95%-96.25% and Ramjas College from 92.75%-95.75% have given students a small window of hope in economics honours.
Similarly, in BCom (Hons), the seats are available only for students who have scored above 90%."We had planned the cut-offs in a manner to ensure that we are not forced to over-admit students. We are hoping to fill up all seats in this round," said a teacher in Kirori Mal College.
The cut-offs have dropped only by 0.25% to 1%. For students with percentages below 90%,
there is little hope as admissions to almost all off-campus colleges are over.
Science

Officials said most applicants took admissions after the second list was announced.
“Most colleges filled seats in the second round of admissions. Now, few seats remain,” said a senior DU official.
Humanities
Colleges have closed admissions to all humanities courses except BA (Prog.), seats for which are available in a few off-campus colleges such as Ram Lal Anand, Mata Sundri and Moti Lal Nehru. There is a 2-8% variation in cut-offs.
Admissions to popular courses such as history honours, political science honours, psychology honours and sociology honours are over.
Sri Venkateswara College, PGDAV and Khalsa College are some of the few colleges that still have seats for political science honours at 79-94%.
“Admissions after the first cut-off list were smooth this year. Admissions to most courses got over after the second list. Admissions have been faster this year as compared to last year,” said Kanika Khandelwal, professor of philosophy, Lady Shri Ram College.
