Freedom fighter Moni Pal passes away in Kolkata

Veteran freedom fighter and West Bengal Socialist Party president Moni Pal today died at a hospital in Kolkata after a protracted illness, party sources said.

He was 82 and is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

WBSP state secretary and state's Fisheries Minister Kironmoy Nanda condoled the death of Pal and said his passing away was a loss to the left movement in the state.
