Fulfil promise of reconstructing Babri mosque: Azam to Rahul

Samajwadi Party leader Mohammad Azam Khan today asked Rahul Gandhi to fulfil Congress party's "promise" of reconstructing the Babri mosque in Ayodhya.
"Rahul should fulfil promise of the then Congress government. Former Prime Minister P V Narsimha Rao after demolition of mosque had said that it would be reconstructed at the same place," Azam told an election rally here.
"The ministers in UPA government are talking of interest of Muslims but the Congress general secretary should first ensure construction of Babri mosque," the SP leader said.
