“Always make sure that the hanging you are using on the wall should be six to 12 inches above your furniture so that they do not clash,” says Bobby Aggarwal, furniture designer, PortsideCafe.
Also, if the picture is difficult to admire it is not placed right then. “Placement of the number of wall hangings differs depending on the furniture fabric and their placement,” says Anuja Gupta, director, Apartment 9.
Viewing angle
If you want to hang a small art piece over an overpowering sofa — it won’t work. “A collage of black and white photographs can be used with a bigger piece which can compliment any type of furniture,” adds Aggarwal.

Find the perfect spot.
Try out various heights before you punch holes in the wall for picture hooks. “Very large décor is ideal for hanging on a spacious wall devoid of any furniture at all,” says Gupta.
