The "rough-and-tumble" of international cricket is the reason behind her otherwise quiet husband's on-field aggression, says Sourav Ganguly's wife Dona, who is hopeful that the Bengal southpaw would make a comeback to Team India.
Dona said Sourav likes to keep things to himself when at home.
"But that behaviour is not brought on by my personality. He is basically a quiet person but the rough-and-tumble of the game makes him aggressive in a stadium. I hope he will return to the national team," Dona told.
Here to perform at the multi-art facility Bharat Bhavan, Dona said she is not a ball-by-ball viewer of the game but makes it a point not to miss key matches.
A Sachin Tendulkar fan, Dona said the master blaster's strokeplay was simply unmatchable.
She refused to comment on whether Ganguly was being deliberately kept out of the team. Dona revealed that daughter Sana has not shown any leaning towards her father's profession but looks interested in music and dance.
"My four-year-old daughter is immensely interested in dance and music but not inclined to cricket," said the student of Pandit Kelucharan Mahapatra.
