Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made a surprise visit to famine-hit areas in Alwar district and sought information from labourers and villagers about wages, quality of wheat and facilities provided to them.

The Chief Minister, during his visit on Thursday, also gave directions to the officials about the nature of relief activities.
Gehlot asked labourers about the wages being paid to them, quality of wheat and arrangements for shade, water and medicines at worksites.
At Amarpur village, he asked the children about the nutritious diet being distributed at schools, an official release said.
