Who was behind the pink nude glossed lips, smoky eyes and feline tiger stripes trailing out of the hairline at the Tarun Tahiliani show? It had to be Delhi's makeup empress Ambika Pillai. She sports that soft sensual eye makeup herself everyday!
How can we achieve the Tahiliani look Ambika? "Simple! Put a small dot of white shimmer in the inner corner of the eye. It opens up the eye in an instant. Then, blend liner or kohl to create a soft, smoky look. For the lips, use a liner and fill out the entire lip. Apply flesh colour foundation matted over. Then gloss!" Ambika is also responsible for the Spiderman grid for Payal Jain/Nikki Mahajan, the bald pate for Ashish Soni and the soft pink pool drizzled with white around the eyes for Cue.
One of the best collections yet is Monisha Jaising. In a delicious combo of cream, blush, bubblegum pink, powder grey and hints of apple green, the clothes (each a hit with the glitterati) were married in fashionable style with the fringed ponytail hair, hot pink tips, eyeliner eyes and baptised with a sprinkle of gold dust.
