GOC Hasnain visits Amarnath shrine, prays for peace

According to a Defence spokesman, Hasnain was accompanied by Major General Gurdeep Singh when he visited the holy Amarnath shrine.

“He (Husnain) reviewed the security arrangements there besides interacting with the people,” said the spokesman.

Husnain prayed for the return of peace and prosperity to the state. “The Army is a major organization involved in the conduct of the annual yatra,” said Srinagar-based army spokesman Lt Col JS Brar.
