Jain said case notices had already been issued to the erring employees and disciplinary action would also be taken.

The Secretary of the coordination committee of the district Sambhu Chakrabarty said the employees had decided to boycott the poll duties in protest against the "refusal" of the authority to exempt two of their colleagues from elections works because of bereavement in their families.
