Addressing a press conference, Kesari said the police and administration were helping the Samajwadi Party to somehow win this prestigious election. The situation had come to such a pass that the administration called the members for issuing identity cards but deliberately made them sit for hours without any specific reason. Later they were not given the cards, she said.

Meanwhile, BSP divisional coordinator Jugal Kishore accused the DIG and IG of behaving like agents of the SP. Accusing IG AC Sharma of harassing him, he said the officer even issued an arrest warrant against him, and some cops, at his behest, raided the divisional office, he said.
