The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed the May 20 notification of the government allowing de-sealing of commercial establishments illegally operating in the residential areas of the Capital.

A Bench headed by Chief Justice YK Sabharwal said that the properties, which were sealed under the direction of the court, will have to be sealed again.

Five thousand and six properties were sealed on the direction of the court.
The court said that the premises, which were de-sealed after the notice of May 20, will have to be re-sealed with effect from September 16.
