THE STATE Government today issued orders for facilities to Shikshakarmis in the State. Accordingly, in case of the death of a Shikshakarmi during service period, a member of his or her family would be given compassionate appointment as contract schoolteacher.
According to the order issued with regard to loan facility, the Shikshakarmis would be provided loan through banks and the concerning office, body under three-tier panchayati raj system would play the role of a facilitator in this. The office, body would adopt an easy procedure by signing an agreement at its own level for this.
Regarding medical insurance, orders have been issued to introduce mediclaim or a similar scheme through insurance companies. Contribution would be deducted from the salaries of Shikshakarmis for the scheme to ensure them the benefit of mediclaim. Orders have also been issued for maintenance of service books of Shikhakarmis.
Accordingly, the body in which the concerning Shikhakarmis are posted will maintain their service books.
