HT had, on Tuesday, first reported that in her debut book, the journalist, Barkha Dutt, has claimed that Modi and Sharif met for an hour last November in Nepal - the meeting, she wrote, was facilitated by Sajjan Jindal, a businessman.
MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup, late on Wednesday night, tweeted, “The report is completely baseless. No such meeting took place in Kathmandu during the SAARC summit.”
