Govt seeks help in Hayatpur case

In order to help the investigators probing the murder of ex-Sarpanch of Hayatpur village, the Haryana government on Wednesday issued a public notice asking people to come forward with information related to the case.

In order to help the investigators probing the murder of ex-Sarpanch of Hayatpur village, the Haryana government on Wednesday issued a public notice asking people to come forward with information related to the case.

The village head, Rakesh Yadav, was shot dead on June 23 by a group of assailants in full public view. Soon after the murder, villagers caught one of the assailants and set him on fire.

A month later, the state had government appointed SK Sardana, retired district and session court judge, to investigate the incident.
