He assured farmers that the government would take all possible steps to help farmers in distress. He advised farmers to insure crops in future so as to save themselves from natural disasters.

In response to a query from mediapersons about spread of Naxalism in Madhya Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that the government would fight the menace of Naxalism that had raised its head here.

On the question of recovery of skeletons from a hospital in Ratlam, he said probe had been ordered into the matter. He ruled out comparison of this case with that of Nithari.
