“We are going to talk to Lufthansa to adhere to the plan we had to join the alliance,” Ajit Singh said.

“The government gave a lot of facilities to the airline that was mentoring us to join Star Alliance. In the meanwhile AI also had some problems. But now they are over,” he said, adding that Lufthansa got a lot of flights into India in exchange for mentoring AI.

Singh also expressed concern over the shrinking air passenger traffic.

“In the past three months, the traffic numbers have fallen. We hope that in the long-run the traffic will increase. It is bound to increase,” he said.
