Jemima Khan’s solo appearance at Sir Elton John’s glitzy White Tie and Tiara Ball sans beau Hugh Grant has set rumours circulating that the couple’s relationship has hit the rocks once again.
A source at the annual £3,000-a-ticket charity bash said that the British heiress had set tongues wagging when she appeared at the event.
Another sign of brewing trouble was Grant’s last minute cancellation of his invitation, even though Sir Elton’s ball is one he never misses.
“A few eyebrows were raised when Jemima turned up alone. This is one social event that is always pencilled in Hugh’s diary,” The Sun quoted the source, as saying.
However, the alleged break-up might be a good thing for Khan, who was said to looking better, and at ease throughout the evening.
“But Jemima was on amazing form. It looked like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. Thank God she’s got rid of him at last. She’s put on weight and looks better than she has for ages,” the source added.
Khan is also said to have told pals that she was “feeling a million times better”.
