Two groups fought pitched battles with sharp-edged weapons and country-made fire arms in the dalit locality of Jhingurpur village this morning over payment of Rs 150, police said.

Parasnath, who sustained bullet injuries, was rushed to a hospital in Varanasi, they said, adding condition of ten others were also serious. 21 people were arrested in this connection, police said.
