"Gul is suffering from a side strain and is unlikely to take the field for the crucial game tomorrow," Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul Haq said.

Pakistan are already without the services of pace spearhead Shoaib Akhtar and all-rounder Shahid Afridi on account of injuries.

Rao Ifthikar Anjum has been roped in as a cover for Gul for Thursday's tie.
