A gunbattle broke out in north Kashmir’s Sopore town late on Thursday evening.

A gunbattle broke out in north Kashmir’s Sopore town late on Thursday evening.

Preliminary reports suggested one militant was killed in the exchange of fire between hiding militants and the security forces.

The encounter started near Sopore’s Seer area and the police’s special operation group and the army are engaged in the operation.

Reports suggest two militants are hiding in the area. The operation was on till last reports came in.
