Gurgaon’s information technology (IT) sector companies, including BPOs and developers housing such organisations, have decided to review and enhance their security measures. Companies plan to increase deployment of security personnel in plainclothes, hire armed guards and buy sophisticated security gadgets.

Gurgaon is a hub of companies of American and British origins.
Manjit Singh Ahalawat, the joint police commissioner, Gurgaon, said all vulnerable companies had been issued special directions and more police personnel deployed at “sensitive” sites.
The Business Process Industry Association of India, in association with the CII, plans to discuss new security measures for
the IT industry on December 5.
