Gurgaon police on Thursday conducted a mock drill to test their personnel.

The drill, according to SSP Hanif Qureshi, is part of their emergency plan to check incidents of car-snatching in the area.

On Tuesday, four men robbed a student and snatched the car he was driving at gunpoint in DLF City. On Thursday, a message was relayed to all police pickets that another car had been snatched from a person at Sector 45.
However, unlike the earlier incident, the police personnel were quick to spot the car on NH-8. According to Qureshi, Thursday’s exercise is part of a larger plan to make Gurgaon an incident-free zone.
"A number of mock drills like this will be carried out to ensure safety on Gurgaon roads."
