The run was organised in association with the organisation Running And Living Infotainment, for spreading awareness among people on the need to preserve the cultural heritage, specially the historical monuments in Farrukhnagar and Mewat.

Rao Inderjeet Singh, MP and former Asian Games Skeet shooting silver medalist, flagged off the 5-km run.

INTACH has been working for the restoration of ruined historical monuments, such as Delhi Gate in Farrukhnagar and Tughlaq-era monuments in Tauroo, in Mewat. It has ambitious plans to take up more monuments.
