Hardcore NDFB ultra nabbed in Kokrajhar

A hardcore NDFB militant of the Ranjan Daimary faction was today arrested and five AK series rifles and a large quantity of ammunition recovered from his possession by army in Kokrajhar district, officials said.

Acting on a tip-off, troops of 15 Dogra Regiment apprehended the self-styled platoon commander, belonging to the outfit's Daimary-led anti-talk faction in Kokrajhar from Jhargaon area.

The militant has been identified as Barmukha Basumatary alias Jolo.

Following his interrogation, the forces recovered two AK-56 rifles, three AK-47 rifles, three 9 mm pistols, a large quantity of ammunition of 9mm and AK-series and several documents related to the outfit.
