Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is looking forward to his 18th birthday not only because that’s when he officially steps into adulthood, but also because he can then have access to his £20 million fortune.
A trust fund had been set up for the young star when he landed the role in the movie adaptation of JK Rowling best-seller series. Over the years, Radcliffe’s movie earnings, as well as the money from the merchandising have all gone into the fund.
However, things are set to change when the British actor reaches his eighteenth birthday in July, for that’s when the reins of his fortune are handed over to him.
And, the actor is hoping that his new bank balance will help him out with the ladies too.
“I’ve not got a girlfriend at the moment,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.
But, Radcliffe is not short of attention from the opposite sex, and admits that he rather enjoys the interest – even though it might only be because of his star status.
“Somebody said, ‘Do you worry girls are just giving you attention because of who you are?’ I was like, ‘I’m 17, it’s wonderful’” the actor admitted.

{{/usCountry}}Experts believe that Radcliffe, who received a paycheque of £60,000 for his part in the first movie, Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone in 2001, will be worth £20 million by the time the fifth film, The Order Of The Phoenix hits theatres later this year.
