Haryana government has so far evacuated 232 people trapped in Uttarakhand, an official spokesperson said in a release on Saturday.

The government helicopter took more than 600 sorties and evacuated around 232 persons from Gangotri valley during rescue operations in the past six days. Besides, four officials were also rescued, he said.

The helicopter also carried 30 quintals of relief material, including food items and other essential items. It also took 100 kilograms of food items to Guptkashi.
These relief and rescue activities were carried under supervision of senior pilot Dharmendra Nehra and his colleague wing commander Viddi.
