Haryana govt to appoint retired teachers in schools

The Haryana government would appoint retired teachers on contract basis to fill vacant posts in schools. Chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has approved the plan to recruit retired teachers of up to 65 years of age, a government spokesperson said here on Wednesday.

Chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has approved the plan to recruit retired teachers of up to 65 years of age, a government spokesperson said here on Wednesday.

With the issue of teachers' recruitment pending in the court, services of retired teachers would be sought so that students do not suffer, the spokesperson said.

Apart from this, the government has decided to extend services of those who retire in the mid academic session, the spokesperson said, adding textbooks have been supplied to most government schools and students would receive them within two days.
