Hazratganj areas to face power pangs

THE SHIFTING of transformer at the Clyde Road, Jawahar Bhawan sub-station, will affect power supply in several areas of Hazratganj between 10 am and 5.30 pm tomorrow.

THE SHIFTING of transformer at the Clyde Road, Jawahar Bhawan sub-station, will affect power supply in several areas of Hazratganj between 10 am and 5.30 pm tomorrow.

The areas which will undergo power pangs are — Sapru Marg, Rana Pratap Marg, Ashok Marg, Wazir Hasan Road, Gokhle Marg, Siqander Nagar, Shahanajaf Road, Nawal Kishore Road, Jawahar Bhawan building, Raghubar Dayal Lane, Park Road and nearby areas.

However, a power official said that the work schedule could be changed or postponed if the weather was not favourable or due to some unavoidable circumstance.

Transformer snag
THE POWER supply to the areas of Badshah Nagar, parts of Nirala Nagar and Mahanagar was disrupted due to some technical snag in the transformer and underground cable in Badshahnagar, here on Wednesday.

These areas remained without power from 9 pm on Wednesday till 2 pm on Thursday.

According to LESA officials, the power supply in the area would be normalised on Friday. The residents of area surrounded the sub-station and demanded early resumption of power supply in the area.

Meanwhile, areas of Gomti Nagar, Indira Nagar and Napier Road witnessed intermittent power cuts during the last 24 hours.
