Ahir was arrested for allegedly threatening a central Mumbai-based builder in March last year. Gawli was also arrested in this case a few days later.

Justice VM Kanade on Tuesday granted Ahir bail of Rs 50,000.

"He has been asked not leave Mumbai without permission," said Jayesh Yagnik, Additional Public Prosecutor.

Government invoked the stringent Maharashtra Control Of Organised Crime Act against Gawli, Ahir and other accused in the case.
