BJP star campaigner Hema Malini today expressed concern over reports of film stars allegedly accepting money to campaign for political parties.

"Only those who want to campaign with a clear heart should go in for it," the erstwhile celluloid queen told reporters in an informal chat here.

She also praised the leadership qualities of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, saying projects like the golden quadrilateral and river linking were clear evidence of `India is Shining'.

Earlier, hordes of Panjimites gathered to catch a glimpse of the `dream girl', falling over railings and craning their necks to watch her kick off the campaign for BJP in Goa here today.

Malini, who was the main speaker at BJP's rally in Panjim on the occasion of the foundation day of the party.

Hema in her speech extolled the virtues of Goa and Goans, admitting that it was the first place she thought of when she wanted to have a holiday.

"Even my daughters are very keen to visit Goa whenever there is a chance to take a holiday and it is the same in the rest of India, because Goa is a such a beautiful place and the people are so friendly," she said.
