"Two IAS officers Desh Deepak (1983 batch) and Vijender Singh (1987 batch) were forced to take premature retirement as they were not performing well in service," Principal Secretary (Personnel) Ajay Mittal told IANS.

He said the action was taken against the officers after taking permission from the central government.

A government official said both the officers have been facing a number of charges during their postings in various departments.
