A Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist has been arrested by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.

A Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist has been arrested by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, a police spokesman said on Thursday.

Acting on a specific information, security forces carried out a search operation at Handwara and arrested a Hizb terrorist on Wednesday, the spokesman said.

Without disclosing the identity of the captured terrorist, the spokesmen said he is being interrogated.

A pistol and some ammunition were recovered from the terrorist, he added.
