A Division Bench, comprising Justice VM Sahai and Justice Sabhajeet Yadav, passed this order on a writ petition filed by the Co-operative Cane Development Society, Amroha, JP Nagar district through its former chairman Pradeep Kumar.

During the course of the hearing, counsel for Co-operative Cane Societies Ravindra Singh said the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court had, on December 8, 2005, directed to hold the elections of cane societies within three months and an order to appoint the administrator had already been passed.

After hearing counsel for the petitioner and other sides, the court disposed of the petition directing to hold the election by March 8. In the petition, it was alleged that the term of cane societies had already expired in December, but no step was being taken, in spite of the court’s order, to hold the election of cane societies of the State.

Official summoned: The Allahabad High Court has taken a serious view of a false narrative by the inspector general (Registration), on the basis of which a counter affidavit was filed before the court.

A Division Bench, comprising Justice VM Sahai and Justice Sabhajeet Yadav, directed that a copy of the narrative sent by Meena be kept on record in a sealed cover, which shall be treated to be part of the record. The court passed this order on a writ petition filed by Anjani Kumar Rajan.

Condolence meeting: A meeting of High Court lawyers was held on the court premises to mourn the death of their colleague, Rajeshwari Sahai. Sarvesh presided over the meeting while DD Gupta conducted it.
