Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has approved to set up “One stop crisis centre” (OSCC) for women in Badshah Khan Hospital, Faridabad, and General Hospital, Gurgaon.

Stating that the centre would remain open 24 hours with duty doctors and police personnel available round the clock, Sumita Misra, director general, women and child development department, said in a release on Wednesday that OSCC was a comprehensive service which not only provided medical facility, but also other support services such as legal aid, police services and counseling under one roof to women victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, besides other crimes.
Stating that about Rs 35 lakh would be spent to set up each OSCC, she said one OSCC was also proposed to be set up in General Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula. She said that the department would be in the lead role, and the other participating departments would be health, home and police.
